Having seen every episode now (well, except The Partizan, it has somehow avoided me, and I think last Christmas. Why did they get rid of that - I loved it. Good for him.ĮTA: Man, the early seasons have segments where the judges discuss each blade in more detail before ruling. Knowing Will will leave is a bummer, but it is hard to feel too bad 7 seasons is not exactly nothing. I now look dubiously at my kitchen knives. It is just cruel to have 24 hour epoxy on the shelf lol.The women I have seen so far have been impressive it's physically a lot harder for them, and the equipment is often sized awkwardly. The 3 hour limit in the first season when the competitors had never seen the show seemed a lot tougher than in the last season, when every smith has a really clear idea of what they are in for. Some of the early eliminations were sad, J.D., etc.Awful lot of episodes come down to two great blades, that was nice to see. Also, the embryonic "It can cut", "It's a killer" variants of Doug's catchphrases! Fun to see it evolve into the iconic phrasing of S6.The early seasons are missing the "It's not what your blade does the the, but what the does to your blade" spiel.Order of challenges seems to have changed up, with the strength test moving to first in the later seasons?.The contraptions for testing sucked, much prefer the hand beatings. At least someone moved on while missing parameters - this shocked me. ![]()
